Meet Sarah
My name is Sarah Gee. I have over 6 years of experience as an elementary teacher. I attended UNC- Chapel Hill for my undergraduate studies and then moved to Dallas, Texas, to become a dual-language teacher in English and Spanish. I received my Master of Education from Southern Methodist University in 2020.
With experience in elementary through middle school in a variety of schools and programs, I have experience with diverse learners, including students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and autism. Being a classroom teacher I have experience in all subjects. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is using differentiated, data driven instruction to work on exactly the skills needed for math or reading. I completed the two-year LETRS teaching reading program, gaining both a reading endorsement and invaluable skills as a reading teacher. When teaching my students to read in two languages, I’ve seen firsthand how phonemic awareness and phonics skills are so important to building a strong foundation in early literacy and setting students up to be strong readers.
I love helping students unlock reading skills in a fun way. All students can be successful with the right support, and I look forward to working with you and your child to help them meet their goals!
